Info:
Nicknamed "Grasshopper" by our film crew, this guy has more energy
than a case of Red Bull. Pro Motocross rider turned Kiter. Gravity
can't hold him down. Ever since he was a little boy Andy has been
into extreme sports by first starting with skateboarding through
elementary and middle school, and then straight into Motocross.
For 6 years Andy rode motocross and broke several bones.
While living in Maui he discovered kiting at Kite Beach where
he saw Nina Heinberg kiting and immediately got his hands on a
trainer kite, threw it up in 40 knot gusty winds, "Felt the power
and I was hooked."
The transition from motocross was easy according to Andy because
fewer bones are broken on the water. Selling his motocross bike
and buying a kite Andy full committed to the sport. He's been
kiting professionally for 3 years now and says he is so happy
he found this sport.
Currently living in Delray Beach, Florida Andy regularly conditions
by doing down winders and hitting the Ski Rixen cable park for
some wake-style kiting. Andy's aggressive style helped push
the riders to another level, holding nothing back he explodes
on the water, letting his riding do the talking.
