Info:
Currently living in Hawaii, Nina is half Thai/half Swedish. Growing
up in Sweden and spending the winters in Thailand, Nina has a
respect and love for the outdoors.
Upon finishing school, she moved to Austria for a ski season...to
be followed by four more seasons in Val Thorens and Chamonix,
France.
Living in the mecca of alpinism Nina found a home where she could
mountain bike, climb, and hike in the summer and ski, snowboard,
and ice climb in the winter. Always looking for a challenge and
steeper mountains, she ripped her ACL and finally left the mountains
after a tragic avalanche accident where she was buried alive for
18 minutes before a ski patroller was able to rescue her. Tragically
her boyfriend did not survive.
After such a life changing event Nina thought there were two
paths, either back to a "normal" life at home or live
for the passion of outdoor sports and adventure. Nina moved to
the coast of France where she learned to surf and eventually settled
in Oahu, Hawaii where the mountains have been exchanged for wind
and waves.
